We took one of these touristy boat trips to go "squid fishing" at night. We left at about sunset and stopped some ways off the island. After about 10 or 15 minutes of throwing a line into the water, Sonia and I were ready to head back. It didn't add that the noisy diesel engine kept pumping out fumes the whole time.
After about two hours, no one except for the boat captain had caught anything. Finally, after we were just ready to jump overboard, Justo suddenly yelled "I got something!!!" Sure enough - the only catch made the whole evening, out of any of the passengers, was made by none other than the smallest guy on board: our own Justo!
The captain let us keep the squid - and threw his in as well - which we brought back to the hotel and which they cooked up into calamari the following day for lunch.
